Our Voices of the World Contributions:

Each month, 4th Grade will be completing some kind of project to contribute to the global Voices of the World project. Voices of the World is a global project created and managed by Mrs. Tonner from The High School or Dundee in Scotland that unites children's voices from around the world. After you've listened to and seen our contributions, make sure you visit the Voices of the World wiki to experience all of the children's voices!
October

Our first task was to create a Voki and to have the class say the sentence that you hear.
Can you guess why our Voki has a globe & a bulldog?
November

November's task was to illustrate and say the phrase "All For One and One For All". Unfortunately the picture for All For One was overwritten so we made do with just the words.
December

In December, we were to create slides illustrating and saying: Peace, Love, Hope & Joy. We also could have added a song about peace but we ran out of time and weren't able to do that.
January

January's task was to record a video of students singing the first & last verses to the song "Make New Friends".
February

February's task was to illustrate the months of the year and then say each month individually. Since there are only 10 students in the class, we used pictures of the campus for two months. These are pictures taken for the 6th Grade Room With a View project.
March

The task for March was to draw a picture of what you think of when you hear the Country or State the schools participating in March's task are from. Then the students were to say each country or state name twice as their picture was displayed. We turned this is into a minor research project since many of the places were unfamiliar to the 4th Grade students.
April

April brought a visit to outer space with each 4th grader drawing a planet (or the sun) and saying that planet's name. 4th Grade visited some web sites about the planets to see what each planet looks like and read some facts about the planets and used an online image editor called SUMO Paint to create the planet pictures.
May

May's task was in celebration of the two years of the Voices of the World project. Each school was to say in their own language: Happy Anniversary, Two years of Voices of the World, Congratulations all
